As per notifications issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP), the following are the latest updates pertaining to rainfall reported in Bengaluru on Thursday (18 July).
• As per the latest nowcast issued by the IMD at 1400 hours and valid till 1600 hours, orange alerts for moderate rainfall (05-15 mm/hour) have been issued for the Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural Districts.
• Slow-moving traffic has been reported near Esteem Mall towards Hebbala Circle due to waterlogging.
• Slow-moving traffic is being witnessed at M.S Palya Junction towards Yelahanka due to a fallen tree branch.
• Waterlogging has been reported at CQAL Cross, Jayamahal Road. However, vehicle movement is normal.
• Waterlogging has been reported at Sanjayanagr Cross towards the Airport. However, vehicle movement is normal.
