As per the forecast issued by the Department of Meteorology, the following weather conditions are expected in parts of Sri Lanka on Thursday (04 January).

• Light rainfall will occur in Eastern, Central and Uva provinces.
• Rainfall or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Kurunegala district after 1400 hours.
