As per reports, light to moderate rainfall is expected across southern regions of Uruguay on Sunday (05 July), beginning in Montevideo before extending to other parts of the country.
• Reports indicate that the forecast rainfall accumulation is expected to range between five millimetres and 10 millimetres, with heavier precipitation possible across the southern and south-eastern departments. The departments of Canelones, San José, Rocha, Maldonado, and Lavalleja are expected to record the highest rainfall activity during the day.
• The rainfall follows a week of severe winter conditions, including sub-zero temperatures, graupel and snowfall associated with a polar air mass across Uruguay.
