As per reports, the Kenya Meteorological Department has announced light to moderate rainfall, localised thunderstorms, and intermittent cool and cloudy conditions are anticipated across multiple counties through 2100 hours local time (1800 hours UTC) on Monday (27 July).

• Rainfall is anticipated across parts of Uasin Gishu, Bungoma, Nakuru, Kericho, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, Vihiga, Bomet, Nandi, Meru, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Mombasa, Kwale, Lamu, Nyamira, Embu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nyandarua, and Kisii counties.
• Intermittent cool and cloudy conditions are expected across parts of Embu, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Meru, Murang’a, Nairobi, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Tharaka-Nithi, Kitui, Machakos, Kajiado, and Makueni counties.
• Localised thunderstorms are also possible in areas experiencing rainfall, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours.
