As per reports, severe thunderstorms that affected the Yvelines department and western Île-de-France during the weekend of Saturday (27 June) and Sunday (28 June); caused extensive damage to railway infrastructure, resulting in significant transport disruption across the Île-de-France Mobilités network during the week of Monday (29 June) to Sunday (05 July).

• Wind gusts exceeding 100 kilometres per hour, lightning strikes and falling trees damaged overhead power lines, electrical installations and signalling infrastructure across several railway corridors.
• The most significant damage occurred on Transilien Line J, where approximately 800 metres of overhead catenary wire was torn down between Les Mureaux and Poissy, requiring several days of emergency repair works.
• Île-de-France Regional President Valérie Pécresse has requested that the French National Railway Company deploy replacement bus services to maintain passenger connectivity on the affected section.
• Transilien Lines N and U are operating with reduced frequency, with trains running approximately every 30 minutes during peak hours between La Verrière and La Défense due to storm and lightning damage to electrical facilities in the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines area.
• In addition, the Le Mans–Paris rail corridor remains heavily disrupted because of storm-related infrastructure damage.
• The storm recovery is coinciding with planned summer engineering works, further affecting regional transport. Nation station on the Regional Express Network Line A remains completely closed until 30 August.
• Major engineering works on Regional Express Network Line D continue between Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon, while Paris Métro Line 12 is scheduled to undergo complete evening closures on two nights during the week.
