Rail strike scheduled in France on Friday (17 October)

As per reports, a rail strike has been announced by the French trade union SUD-Rail Metz-Nancy, on Friday (17 October), protesting staff shortages and increasing workloads in regional transport services.

• The Luxembourg railway company Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) reportedly claims that the actions will affect rail traffic between France and Luxembourg on Friday (17 October).
• The Luxembourg national railway operator has issued warnings regarding disruptions in both directions on the Luxembourg–Metz line, which also serves Thionville.
• Reports indicate that more than ten trains between Metz and Luxembourg will be cancelled throughout the day on Friday (17 October).
