Puerto Rican Festival to be held in New Haven on Friday (07 August) and Saturday (08 August)

As per reports, 10th annual Puerto Rican Festival is scheduled to take place in New Haven, Connecticut, from Friday (07 August) to Saturday (08 August), with organizers expecting increased visitor attendance during the two-day cultural event.

• The festival is organized by Puerto Ricans United in partnership with Connecticut LEAD and will feature live entertainment, cultural performances, food vendors, and community activities.
• Ahead of the festival, a flag-raising ceremony is scheduled at approximately 1200 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) on Thursday (06 August), at the New Haven Green, where city officials and organizers are expected to provide information regarding festival programming, parking arrangements, and event logistics.
• The festival will officially commence with a freestyle concert from 1800 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) to 2100 hours local time on Friday (07 August) (0100 hours UTC on 08 August). Organizers have also announced that Grammy-nominated salsa artist La India is scheduled to perform during the event.
