As per reports, the German trade union Ver.di has called its members to take part in bus and commuter train strikes in North Rhine-Westphalia including in Bonn and Cologne on Thursday (15 February), in a dispute regarding pay and working hours.

• Around 30 local transport company members in North Rhine-Westphalia including those located in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn, Dortmund, Bochum, Oberhausen, Münster, and Bielefeld, as well as the Stadtwerke Bonn (SWB) and Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe, have been called on strike.
• Further, it has been reported that the SWB announced that buses and trains will not leave the depots on Thursday (15 February) from 0300 hours local time until the end of services. These are services 550, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 608, 609, 610, and 613, services 632, 633, 634, 635, 636, 637, 638 and 640, service 117, and service SB69. Reports suggest that subcontractors will be regularly deployed on some bus routes.
• Wage negotiations are to continue in Bochum on Friday (16 February).
