As per reports, over 100 activists and farmer leaders belonging to the Kisan Sangharsh Morcha were detained by police in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The detentions occurred as hundreds of protesters marched from the Kisan Sabha office toward the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority office, demanding 10 percent developed population plots and fulfillment of prior government commitments.
District police deployed heavy forces across the protest route and turned the area surrounding the authority office into a heavy security encampment. Prominent farmer leaders led the demonstration and vowed to continue the agitation until their land allocation demands are met.
