As per reports, several Muslim organisations staged protest against the decision to increase Haj flight fare from the Calicut International Airport on Thursday (01 February). The Kerala Muslim Jamat (KMJ) staged the protest along with hundreds of Islamic clerics from Kolathur Junction till Calicut airport. The police stopped the march at airport gate. Protesters threatened to intensify agitation if demands are not met.
