Protest reported outside U.S. Embassy in Seoul on Thursday (30 October)

As per reports, on Thursday (30 October), a group of 15 university students, part of the Korean University Students Progressive Union, staged a protest in front of the United States (U.S.) Embassy in Seoul, condemning a recently finalized trade agreement between South Korea and the U.S.

Protesters attempted to deliver a protest letter to the embassy, leading to a 40-minute confrontation with police before dispersing without violence. Authorities declared the gathering unregistered and therefore illegal.
