As per reports, Comilla University (CU) students formed a human chain and held a protest march demanding a speedy trial for the murder of Sumaiya Afrin Rinthi and her mother. They first formed a human chain at Pubali Chattar in Kandirpar, Comilla, at around 1300 hours on Monday (15 September), following which they entered the court premises.

The students reportedly occupied the court premises for an hour, then they submitted two memorandums to the relevant officials.
