As per reports, a protest by residents demanding cancellation of the land allotted to madrasas (Islamic religious schools) during the Congress government was reported near the old bus stand in Mavli, Udaipur district on Monday (23 September). A kilometre-long rally was taken out and religious hymns were sung at the protest.
