As per reports, the Biswa Hindu Parishad (BHP) and Bajrang Dal jointly organized a protest rally in Kolkata to protest against alleged atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh and to demand their security. The rally held on the occasion of “Saurya Divas” started from Shimla Street and concluded in Shyambazar.

The rally reportedly led to traffic congestion along the Bidhan Sarani, however Kolkata Traffic Police acted promptly to minimize disruption.
