As per reports, police, military and prison officers associated with the Federation of Trade Unions from the National Administration of Penitentiaries (FSANP) are expected to carry out protest actions outside the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the National Liberal Party (PNL) in Bucharest at 1030 hours local time on Tuesday (03 September).
• The protest is being carried out to demand the urgent update of military pensions to reservists to match the pay levels of active military personnel.
• Police, military and prison officers have also expressed their frustration at the alleged lack of value placed on the country’s defense, security and public order by politicians.
