As per reports, members of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) including Leader of the Opposition of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, R Ashok arrived at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Monday (17 June), with a bullock cart to protest against the petrol and diesel price hike in the state.

Meanwhile, members of the BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest over the same at Azad Park Circle in Chikkamagaluru.
