As per reports, a peaceful protest against Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader is scheduled to take place outside Lehman College in the Bronx on Sunday (20 September) at 1500 hours local time (1900 hours UTC), coinciding with his scheduled appearance at the college to present INDEX awards to Dominican nationals residing in the US.
Reports indicate that representatives of Acción Rápida, Somos Pueblo, Tamo Jarto and Loma Miranda have announced the protest in opposition to what they describe as unfulfilled promises by President Abinader.
