As per reports, a protest against the planned Kivu Oya project, will be held in front of the Vavuniya North Nedunkerni Divisional Secretariat on Monday (02 February).

Those who will be participating in the protest will gather in front of the Nedunge bus stand at around 1000 hours (local time) and from there they will march in a procession to the Vavuniya Nedunge Divisional Secretariat, where they will display their protest signs and hand over a pamphlet.

• Political parties including the Sri Lankan Tamil National Party, the Democratic Tamil National Alliance, Sri Relo, and public organizations from the districts of Vavuniya, Mannar, and Mullaitivu will participate in the protest.
