As per reports, temporary road closures are scheduled in central Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales on Saturday (25 April) to facilitate the Aberystwyth Pride parade organised by Project LUNA.
• Reports indicate that the restrictions are expected to operate from 1145 hours local time (1045 hours UTC) to 1245 hours local time (1145 hours UTC).
• The closure route is set to affect Bridge Street from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with Great Darkgate Street; Great Darkgate Street from its junction with Bridge Street and Pier Street to its junction with Baker Street; and Owain Glyndŵr Square from its junction with Baker Street to its junction with Terrace Road.
• Project LUNA’s event schedule states that participants are due to gather at Aberystwyth Castle Grounds from 1100 hours local time (1000 hours UTC), with the parade departing at 1200 hours local time (1100 hours UTC).
• Associated Pride programming is also scheduled across the town, including a Queer Market at the Bandstand from 1030 hours to 1600 hours local time (0930 hours to 1500 hours UTC), an Aberystwyth Queer Assembly at the National Library of Wales from 1400 hours to 1630 hours local time (1300 hours to 1530 hours UTC), a seaside swim at North Beach below Constitution Hill from 1700 hours local time (1600 hours UTC), and evening events at The Castle Hotel and Harley’s Takeover from 1900 hours local time (1800 hours UTC) onward.
• An alternative route is expected to be in place during the parade closure period.
