As per reports, President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled for a two-day visit to Tamil Nadu from Tuesday (02 September) to Wednesday (03 September). Tight security has been imposed at Chennai International Airport, Tiruchi Airport, Tiruvarur, and Srirangam temple in view of her itinerary.

The visit includes her arrival in Chennai, onward travel to Tiruchi, participation in the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) convocation at Tiruvarur, and darshan at Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam before returning to New Delhi. The details of her visit are as follows:

• On Tuesday (02 September): Arrival at Chennai International Airport; heightened security checks and restricted vehicular movement around airport premises.
• At 1040 hours on Wednesday (03 September): Arrival at Tiruchi International Airport by special aircraft from Chennai.
• Additionally, on Wednesday (03 September): Departure by helicopter to Tiruvarur to attend the 10th convocation of the Central University of Tamil Nadu as Chief Guest.
• At 1630 hours on Wednesday (03 September): Chopper from Tiruvarur to land at temporary helipad on Panchakarai Road near Kollidam river in Srirangam.
• On Wednesday (03 September): Road movement from helipad to Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple. Darshan at sanctum sanctorum and other shrines.
• At 1725 hours on Wednesday (03 September): Departure by road to Tiruchi Airport, followed by return to New Delhi by special aircraft.
