As per reports, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were met with gunfire while serving a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of North Fleming Street on Friday (14 August). The incident occurred shortly before 1430 hours (local time).
Two officers and the suspect were injured by gunfire. The suspect surrendered at approximately 1515 hours (local time) and was taken into custody. All three were reported to be in stable condition. Police stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes while police investigate the incident.
