As per reports, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) block general secretary Shiv Shankar Singh was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Pakauli village under the Bidupur Police Station area, Vaishali District, Bihar at approximately 2300 hours of Monday (25 August).
On Tuesday (26 August), locals, kin of the RJD leader, and RJD workers staged protests outside the Bidupur Police Station, demanding swift justice in the case. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has initiated a probe into the case, while additional police personnel have been deployed in Bidupur and adjoining areas of Vaishali to maintain order.
