As per reports, police have warned the public against participating in or promoting a “peaceful human chain” protest scheduled for Sunday (24 May) near Town Hall in Bengaluru. The event has been allegedly called by a group named ‘CockroachJanataParty’ (CJP) Karnataka, without obtaining any official permission.

Police clarified that no application had been submitted by any individual, organisation or political party seeking permission to hold the programme and that no approval had been granted either by the police or by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) authorities for use of the venue.
