As per reports, the director of Ilam Shohadaye Airport (IIL) has announced the resumption of scheduled passenger flight operations between Ilam Airport (IIL) and Mashhad Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport (MHD) starting Monday (27 July) following a six-month suspension.
• Flight operations along the Ilam–Mashhad route, which were previously suspended in February due to adverse weather conditions and security developments, have officially returned to the active schedule at Ilam Shohadaye Airport.
• Zagros Airlines is scheduled to operate flights along the route twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Asa Jet Airlines is anticipated to commence supplemental air services on Tuesdays and Fridays, offering flight connections connecting Ilam Airport to both Mashhad (MHD) and Tehran Mehrabad International Airport (THR).
• Airport management indicated that ongoing consultations are underway to further expand weekly flight frequencies and carrier options to meet domestic travel demand for Tehran and Mashhad corridors.
• The airport’s updated weekly schedule incorporates 16 planned flight sorties managed across Zagros Airlines, Iran Aseman Airlines, and Asa Jet Airlines.
• The affected areas include Ilam Shohadaye Airport (IIL) in Ilam Province, Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport (MHD) in Razavi Khorasan Province, and Mehrabad International Airport (THR) in Tehran.
