Paris Olympics organisers cancel first triathlon training over Seine river pollution

Risk level: Low Country: France

As per reports, the first training session for triathletes at the Paris Olympics scheduled for Sunday (28 July), was suspended due to pollution in the River Seine.

If water quality remains substandard, an alternative plan involves postponing the events or relocating the marathon swimming to Vaires-sur-Marne on the Marne River east of Paris, for the triathlon scheduled on Tuesday (30 July).
