PAGASA issues weather forecast for rainfall and thunderstorms across parts of the Philippines on Sunday (28 June)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a weather forecast for rainfall and thunderstorms at 0400 hours (local time) on Sunday (28 June), with the Southwest Monsoon expected to continue affecting parts of the Philippines.

• Cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms conditions are forecast over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the Davao Region, with moderate to at times heavy rainfall anticipated in these areas, along with possible flash floods and landslides.
• Cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms are similarly forecast over the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan, driven by the Southwest Monsoon, with moderate to at times heavy rainfall conditions expected and an associated risk of flash floods and landslides.
• Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainfall or thunderstorms are forecast over Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines due to localized thunderstorms, with flash floods and landslides remaining possible during severe thunderstorm periods.
• Light to moderate winds from the southwest to southeast are forecast over Luzon, with coastal wave heights of 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
• Light to moderate winds from the southwest to northwest are forecast over the rest of the Philippines, with coastal wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.2 meters.
