Ottawa-bound lane closure expected for repair work on Friday (12 December)

As per reports, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has announced that the Ottawa-bound lane on the Alexandra Bridge is expected to be closed on Friday (12 December) from 0930 hours to 1430 hours local time (1430–1930 hours UTC) to facilitate lighting system repair work.

PSPC noted that this schedule may change depending on weather conditions. During the closure, the Gatineau-bound lane may remain open, and pedestrians and cyclists may continue to have access via the boardwalk. The temporary traffic pattern is expected to cause periodic congestion, slower traffic movement, and potential delays, especially during late morning and midday travel hours.
