As per reports, Environment Canada has issued an orange watch for winter-storm in southeastern Labrador, specifically areas from Cartwright to Lodge Bay, beginning Thursday (25 December) till Friday (26 December).
The system is expected to bring heavy snowfall combined with very strong northwesterly winds, creating dangerous blizzard-like conditions across the affected region.
• Snowfall accumulations of 30 to 50 centimeters have been forecast along with wind gusts reaching a speed of 100 to 120 kilometers per hour.
• Conditions such as widespread blowing and drifting snow have also been forecast.
