As per reports, Météo-France has issued an orange alert for a heatwave across seven departments in southern France on Sunday (05 July).

• Ambient temperatures are expected to exceed approximately 35 degrees Celsius locally, with peak conditions reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius in specific zones.
• The high-temperature window is scheduled to commence at 1200 hours local time (1000 hours UTC) on Sunday (05 July).
• Nighttime cooling is anticipated to remain limited, with minimum temperatures remaining unusually elevated in urban centers.
• The affected areas include the departments of Vaucluse, Drôme, Ardèche, Gard, Hérault, Aude, and Pyrénées-Orientales, with specific urban centers including Avignon, Valence, Privas, Nîmes, Montpellier, Carcassonne, and Perpignan, and key road corridors at risk including the A7, A9, and A61 motorways.
