As per reports, inclement weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, are forecast in sectors of Calabria, Puglia and Sicily and Campania on Saturday (10 October).
• Reportedly, in Campania, orange alert has been issued for Zone 01, including the Campanian Plain, Naples, the islands, the Vesuvian area, and Zone 03, including the Sorrento-Amalfi Peninsula, the Sarno Mountains and the Picentini Mountains until 1500 hours local time (1300 hours UTC) on Saturday (10 October).
• Reports indicate that a yellow alert has been issued for the remaining areas of Campania, as well as for Abruzzo, Basilicata, Lazio, Tuscany, Molise and Umbria.
• Reportedly, rainfall is forecast to range from scattered to widespread, with heavy thunderstorms particularly in Campania, Calabria, Puglia and Sicily.
• Reportedly, the Italian Civil Protection Department has warned of possible hydraulic and hydrogeological criticalities, including landslides, mudslides, debris flows and flooding in low-lying areas.
