The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued an orange and yellow strong wind advisory for parts of Taiwan on Sunday (09 August).

• Orange alert: New Taipei City is forecasted to experience sustained winds reaching Beaufort Force 9 or gusts reaching Beaufort Force 11.
• Yellow alert: Keelung City, Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Taitung County, Yilan County, Penghu County and Lienchiang County are forecasted to experience sustained winds reaching Beaufort Force 6 or gusts reaching Beaufort Force 8.
