As per reports, a heatwave, starting Friday (08 August) is forecast to intensify and spread across 17 departments in southern and central France.

• From Friday at 1200 hours (local time), the departments of Rhône, Loire, Isère, Drôme, Ardèche, Hautes-Pyrénées, Haute-Garonne, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Aveyron, and Lot are scheduled to be placed under an orange alert due to rising temperatures.
• By Saturday (09 August) at 1200 hours (local time), Dordogne, Aude, Puy-de-Dôme, Ain, Savoie, and Haute-Savoie are expected to be added to the alert list.
