Orange alerts for heatwave and floods issued in parts of France on Friday (02 August) - datasurfr

As per reports, Météo France has placed nine departments in the southeastern region of France on orange heatwave alert on Friday (02 August).

• The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hérault, Gard, Var, Alpes-Maritimes, the two departments of Corsica and Bouches-du-Rhône are maintained on orange alert for high temperatures.
• On Friday (02 August) morning, the minimum temperatures are expected to be between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, locally 27 degrees Celsius. While during the afternoon hours, temperatures are expected to be between 35 to 39 degrees Celsius.
• Additionally, the departments of Seine-et-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Vosges, have also been placed on orange alert for floods.
