As per reports, Iran’s National Roads Management Center announced a one-way traffic restriction (southbound closure) on Chalus Road and the Tehran-North Freeway from 1500 hours local time (1130 hours UTC) on Tuesday (15 September) until further notice due to heavy north-to-south traffic volumes.
• Chalus Road (south to north) is experiencing heavy traffic between Zanguleh Bridge and Siahbisheh, while north-to-south traffic is semi-heavy between Makarood and Anarak.
• Tehran-North Freeway (south to north) has semi-heavy traffic between Tunnel No. 12 and Tunnel No. 13, between Tunnel No. 16 and Shahrestanak, and between the end of Alborz Tunnel and Zanguleh Bridge.
• Haraz Road (north to south) has semi-heavy traffic in the three-lane sections at Chalav and Kolard.
• Qazvin-Karaj-Tehran Freeway has heavy traffic in the areas of Mohammadieh, Shahid Kalantari Terminal, Standard, and between Fardis Bridge and Kalak Bridge
• Tehran-Karaj-Qazvin Freeway has heavy traffic between Shahrak Khatam and Pol Fardis, and between Golshahr and Goldasht.
