One insurgent apprehended and two militant camps busted during security operations in Manipur as of Saturday (11 October)

As per reports, as of Saturday (11 October), security forces arrested a member of a proscribed insurgent group and recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, explosives, and communication devices during operations in Manipur over the past 36 hours. The arrest occurred at a hideout in the Uripok Huidrom Leikai locality under Imphal Police Station (Imphal-PS) in Imphal West district. The arrested individual was associated with the banned Kanglei Yaol Kanna Lup (KYKL).

Following initial interrogation, joint state and central forces launched an anti-insurgency operation in the Changsang hill range area under Sagolmang Police Station (Sagolmang-PS), Imphal East district. In a separate operation at the Chingkakpam Turel river and Buffalo Farm under Kakching Police Station (Kakching-PS), Kakching district, security forces recovered additional arms and equipment.
