One day state mourning declared on Monday (11 March) due to death of sitting MLA Phosum Khimhun

As per reports, the Arunachal Pradesh government has declared a one-day state mourning for Monday (11 March), following the sudden demise of sitting MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) from Changlang South constituency Phosum Khimhun.

• The state government has also approved the closure of offices, institutions, and market establishments for one day in Changlang district. During the state mourning period, the national flag will be flown at half-mast throughout Arunachal Pradesh and state government offices where it is flown regularly.
• The funeral ceremony scheduled for 1000 hours on Monday (11 March), will witness the state ceremonial guard of honour. The Changlang district commissioner and superintendent of police have been asked to oversee the arrangements for the event.
