North Korea detonates and destroys parts of the inter-Korean Road

As per reports, North Korea blew up the northern section of the inter-Korean road amongst heightened tensions with South Korea. After the incident, the South Korean military opened fire south of the military demarcation line as a pre-emptive measure. South Korea’s military officials have also highlighted the increase in military troops, equipment, and surveillance in the area.
