As per reports, farmers’ bodies in Noida and Greater Noida, who have been protesting for the delivery of their compensation for land acquisition by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), have decided to suspend their protest until Wednesday (10 January) in order to allow GNIDA some time to accede to their demands.

The Bharatiya Kisan Parishad (BKP), which is leading the protest, has stated that if the GNIDA fails to meet their demands by Wednesday (10 January), then the farmers’ bodies will escalate their protest in the form of locking the GNIDA office gate and imposing a full blockade outside the GNIDA premises in Greater Noida.
