As per reports, the Russian Federal Security Service imposed restrictions within a five-kilometre zone along the Estonian border, including a prohibition on travel after dark, with the measures scheduled to remain in effect until Saturday (26 September). The restricted area includes the Russian side of the border near Narva and the Narva River.
The measures have increased security concerns in Estonia, particularly around Narva, which is located directly on the Estonian-Russian border. There have also been reports of previous incidents involving Russian border personnel crossing into Estonia, the removal of border markers, and the deployment of drones and aerostats near the border.
