As per reports, a new wildfire has been registered in the Coquihalla Canyon, north of Hope, BC, on Friday (17 October).

• The wildfire has been held by firefighters at the time of the reporting.
• The fire was reportedly burning on 60 hectares at 1530 hours (local time).
• No evacuation orders or alerts have been issued yet, but authorities have urged residents and travelers to avoid non-essential travel near Coquihalla Canyon while suppression operations continue.
