As per reports, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has announced a nationwide “Advocates’ March for Justice” on Friday (10 July) to protest the recent killings of two advocates.
• In Nairobi, participating advocates, judicial officers, and civil society members are expected to assemble at the Milimani Law Courts parking grounds starting at 0900 hours local time (0600 hours UTC), with the procession set to begin at 0930 hours local time (0630 hours UTC).
• The peaceful march is sechduled to proceed from the Milimani Law Courts to the National Police Service (NPS) headquarters to present a petition to the Inspector-General of Police demanding faster investigations and enhanced security for legal professionals.
• Parallel demonstrations are expected to be held simultaneously across all LSK regional branches under local branch leadership. All participants have been instructed to dress formally and wear purple ribbons as a symbol of remembrance and solidarity.
