As per reports, the Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation (GIFT), in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), will organize a two-day national seminar on second-generation Goods and Services Tax (GST 2.0) reforms at the GIFT campus in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday (07 September) and Tuesday (08 September).
Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan, who also serves as the chairperson of GIFT, will inaugurate the event. The national seminar will gather economists, policymakers, tax administrators, and former finance ministers, including T.M. Thomas Isaac, K.N. Balagopal, and Haseeb A. Drabu, along with academic experts across three plenary and two technical sessions.
