As per reports, two coaches of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Double Decker Express detached from the moving train near Surat Railway Station at approximately 0850 hours of Thursday (15 August). No injuries were reported in the incident. Restoration works on the train were completed by 1130 hours, as per the Western Railway, following which trains began operating on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route again.
