As per reports, eleven people were injured in a fire incident at a high-rise building in Mainz on Friday (14 June) morning.

• The two seriously injured individuals were transported to the hospital, while the other nine received treatment at the scene. The remaining approximately 120 residents of the 18-story building were able to evacuate to safety, some with the assistance of emergency services.
• The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain initially unclear.
• In Föhren (Trier-Saarburg district), a fire broke out in an apartment building in the early hours of Friday (14 June). The fire brigade successfully extinguished the fire and prevented the flames from spreading to other apartments. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
