According to reports, Mount Semeru erupted again on Thursday morning, (06 March). The height of the eruption column was observed to be approximately 1,100 meters above the summit (approximately 4,776 meters above sea level).
The Mount Semeru Observation Post (PGA) officer, Liswanto, reported that the eruption occurred at 0706 WIB. A few minutes later, precisely at 0720 WIB, Mount Semeru erupted again with an observed ash column height of approximately 200 meters above the summit.
