Mob violence reported in Ramnagar as of Friday (24 October)

As per reports, as of Friday (24 October), a conflict erupted in the villages of Chhoi and Bailpadav in Ramnagar after vehicles suspected of carrying beef were intercepted. The mob assaulted the drivers and damaged the vehicles. Further details are awaited.

The unrest continued for nearly four hours at Bailpadav police outpost and Ramnagar police station. Initial investigations by authorities confirmed that the meat was not banned.
