Meteo-France issues yellow alerts for severe thunderstorms across France on Tuesday (25 August)

As per reports, Météo-France is scheduled to maintain 48 departments across northern, central, and southwestern France under a yellow weather alert for thunderstorms throughout Tuesday (25 August) following intense storm activity and severe localized weather on Monday.

• Reports indicate that morning atmospheric conditions are expected to remain unstable, featuring scattered rainfall over Aquitaine and northeastern regions. Convective activity is expected to calm temporarily during midday before expanding from the Gironde estuary and southern Brittany toward the Grand-Est during the late afternoon.
• Reportedly, four departments- Bouches-du-Rhône, Drôme, Var, and Vaucluse- are scheduled to remain under a yellow warning specifically for flooding risks. Thunderstorm activity is expected to persist into the evening, progressing from the Hauts-de-France region into northeastern France toward the border areas.
