As per reports, Maratha activist Manoj Jarange-Patil announced a fresh agitation, demanding implementation of the Satara Gazette to provide reservations to Marathas by issuing them Kunbi caste certificates.

On Saturday (16 May), he stated that he would embark on an indefinite hunger strike in Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna district from Saturday (30 May).

• However, Manoj Jarange and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Prasad Lad are currently in talks in Antarwali Sarati. Prasad Lad appealed to Jarange to withdraw his possible agitation.
