As per reports, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Quebec has scheduled major road and bridge restrictions across Greater Montreal from Friday (04 September) through Tuesday (08 September) for the Labour Day long weekend.
• Highway 25 northbound through the Louis H. La Fontaine Bridge Tunnel is scheduled to close between Exit 90 at Route 132 in Longueuil and the access from Souligny Avenue East in Montreal from 2300 hours local time on Friday (04 September) (0300 hours UTC on 05 September) until 0500 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) on Tuesday (08 September).
• The tunnel is also scheduled to close southbound between Exit 05 at Sherbrooke Street in Montreal and Route 132 in Longueuil during three overnight periods.
• The first closure is scheduled from 2300 hours local time on Friday (04 September) to 0800 hours local time on Saturday (05 September) (0300 hours to 1200 hours UTC on 05 September).
• The second closure is scheduled from 2300 hours local time on Saturday (05 September) to 0900 hours local time on Sunday (06 September) (0300 hours to 1300 hours UTC on 06 September).
• The third closure is scheduled from 2300 hours local time on Sunday (06 September) to 0800 hours local time on Monday (07 September) (0300 hours to 1200 hours UTC on 07 September).
• The Jacques Cartier Bridge is designated as the principal alternative route.
• On the Victoria Bridge, Route 112, traffic is scheduled to operate towards Montreal only on the single lane of the west span.
• The restriction is scheduled from 2300 hours local time on Friday (04 September) (0300 hours UTC on 05 September) to 0500 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) on Tuesday (08 September).
• In LaSalle, exits and access ramps connecting Route 138 with Clément Street are also scheduled to close in both directions.
• On the South Shore, Highway 20 is scheduled to operate with one lane in each direction on the westbound carriageway between Exit 109 at Saint Mathieu de Beloeil and Exit 113 at Mont Saint Hilaire. The restriction also includes the Arthur Branchaud Bridge in Beloeil.
• The restriction is scheduled from 2200 hours local time on Friday (04 September) (0200 hours UTC on 05 September) to 0500 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) on Monday (07 September).
