As per reports, Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau (CWB) reported an earthquake measuring 5.2 near Yonakuni, Yaeyama-gun, Okinawa, Japan, at 0158 hours (local time) on Saturday (06 January).
Based on preliminary data, the quake is not expected to have caused significant damage. No casualties have been reported and no tsunami warning has been issued, as of yet.
